Two Volumes (complete set). London, George Virtue, 1841. Quarto. Volume I: IV, 170 pages with 62 original steel engravings (including the Vignette, but lacking the portrait of N.P.Willis) / Volume II: IV, 185 pages with 59 original steel engravings. Hardcover / Original, very decorative half-leather with gilt lettering on spines. Both Volumes in very good and firm condition with only occasional signs of some spotting to the plates and titlepage. Interior text and plates overall purely white and clean. The Volumes are often broken. This set is intact with its original endpapers frim. A stunning collection of the most romantic sceneries of 19th century Ireland. A must-have for every Ireland collector. The scenes so very beautiful and telling (Illustrations like the “A Pattern in Connemara” are accompanied by wonderful historical narratives by the authors.)
