Original, hand-coloured, copper engraved map [titles and locations all in latin]. Nuremberg, Christoph Weigel / [Johan Kohler], [1720]. Size of actual map: 39.2 cm x 32 cm. Size of complete sheet: 43.3 cm x 36.5 cm. Very good condition with some mild foxing. Minor tear to lower fold.

Johann Christoph Weigel, known as Christoph Weigel the Elder (9 November 1654 – 5 February 1725), was a German engraver, art dealer and publisher. He was born at Redwitz, Free imperial city of Eger in Egerland, and died in Nuremberg, aged 70. (Wikipedia)
