Second Edition. London, Longman, Green, Longman and Roberts, 1864. 16 cm x 22.5 cm. XXII, 398 pages with 13 steel engravings and 5 woodcuts. Original Hardcover (green cloth with gilt lettering and illustration) in protective Mylar. The binding a little scruffy and the Frontispiece nearly detached. Pages 137 cleanly detached and one more illustration also starting to detache. More importantly, the bookblock in firm condition with the endpapers completly in tune with the binding. A very rare and important book in a still collectable and very much acceptable condition.
