Some foxing to binding but the endpapers intact and the binding in overall very good condition. All etchings in excellent condition. A wonderful, rare example of a very rare book !

Following Mrs Haugaard forwarding Freund’s play to the department, Mr Claudi, in a damning fashion, declines to broadcast Philip Freund’s Prince Hamlet: “….If a great Danish author had adapted a classic in an inspired, modern form, it could be reasonable to try such eksperiment [sic]. But as the author is a rather unknown American, it is not to be expected that the Danish Radio should broadcast it……”
