With a fantastic, full-page, signed message written inside the book by George Moore. Very good – condition of the binding with signs of external wear (some spotting). Moore responds in his manuscript note on the halftitle possibly to the request of Frieda Lawrence, wife of D.H.Lawrence, who requested a copy of Moore’s book “The Pastoral Loves of Daphnis and Chloe”. Moore sent her instead this edition.

Die außergewöhnlich gut erhaltene Leinenbindung in einer seltenen Bibelklappenausführung (Die Leinenenden der beiden Buchdeckel wurden über den Deckelbezug hinaus flexibel weitergeführt und schliessen nahezu perfekt über dem seitlichen Schnitt). Die wunderschönen Vorsatzblätter erhalten.

Small signs of a faded dampstain without any consequence to the very good condition throughout. One page with a tear (Letter G). The unpaginated section was collated as complete.
