Hardcover / Volume I in a modern half-buckram with private spine-label / Volume II in its original half-leather binding. Good condition with signs of external wear. One Volume with crack to gutter between front pastedown and gutter. Loose leaf near front. Binding still firm and strong but tender near very front. Interior bright and unmarked with occasional foxing.

Hardcover / Recently rebacked original 19th-century leather with the new spines bound to style with gilt lettering and ornament. Original boards preserved. Beautifully restored set in firm and excellent condition. Page VII of Volume One loosened. The maps and engravings in unusually excellent condition.
