Hardcover / Original half-leather of the time with gilt lettering on spine. Binding rubbed and corners bumped strongly. Binding very firm and fully intact. Some browning and pencil – marks inside. Very Rare publication by one of the most successful female authors of children’s books, educational and moral stories in the early 19th century.

The binding otherwise firm and overall in very good condition with only minor signs of wear. Some minor signs of foxing. A very, very rare book !!

Beautifully signed by Isabella Banks in her full name on the halftitle (see images). An especially good condition of this now rare book.
