Frontispiece – Portrait of Harriet Beecher-Stowe, XIV, 680 pages with numerous illustrations throughout. Hardcover / Original, very decorative publisher’s cloth-binding in protective Mylar. The notoriously shaky publication was strengthened by our bookbindery and is now ready to be read and used without fear of handling. Old gift-inscription to slightly frayed endpaper. Very good condition with only minor signs of wear. The best version due to the large size of the book and the corresponding illustrations.

Hardcover / Original publisher’s cloth with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Poor condition with stronger signs of wear. The binding is fragile with the bookblock slightly separating from the binding. Still, the overall condition is still Good+ with foxing throughout (as usual with this publication) and a faded dampstain to rear endpaper and pastedown. From the library of Patrick MacCabe Fay, with his Bookplate / Exlibris to front free endpaper with the Family-Motto: “Toujours Fidele – Aut Vincere Aut Mori” [″Always Faithful – Either Win or Die”](see image).
