XXII, 213, (1) pages with 16 fantastic, full-page engravings on the human teeth, jaw and even depicting Tooth-Anatomy, showing details of the interior nerves of teeth, tooth sockets etc. Original 18th-century edition bound in a beautiful, early 20th – century, private binding with new endpapers and decorative spine-label. In collector’s Mylar. The text and plates throughout with faded dampstain ! Otherwise in very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. This very rare volume on the History of Dentistry is very rare and still very much in collectable condition. This used to be the copy of the Association of German Dentist “Reichsverband Deutscher Dentisten” and the book has one large stamp to the pastedown and a small stamp to the lower margin of the dutch titlepage. One more decent stamp to outer margin of page 31.

A New Edition improved. London, Printed for J.Murray, 1779. Small Octavo (11 cm x 17,5 cm). Frontispiece, [22 unnumbered], 252 pages. Hardcover / Original, 18th century half-leather with marbled-paper-covered boards in protective Mylar. Spine slightly discoloured with some cracks and defects but overall the poublication firm and tight, endpapers stabilized. Interior in excellent, bright condition.
