Good condition still with the binding shaky and the cover stroonger rubbed. Front free endpaper sellotaped. One of the very rare occasions in which Violet Martin signed with her full name, a few months prior to the books official publication in November 1892. Very rare, early Edith Somerville and Martin Ross (Violet Martin) title !

A must-have for all collector’s of rare and signed Somerville & Ross collectables, this find is simply an unusual occurance because the artwork was originally designed to be framed. One usually never finds this edition with the artwork still in its original folder !

Original, illustrated Hardcover, now in professional colloctor’s Mylar. Some of the plates with some minor staining, one plate cleanly detached. But all plates in wonderful and vibrant condition overall (see photographs).
