Seltene Erstausgabe dieses wichtigen Standardwerks der Kardiologie. Das Buch erschien noch im Jahr der irischen Erstausgabe (Dublin, 1855) in den USA und Deutschland. Selten in Originalbindung und in dieser Erhaltung !

Hardcover / Traumhafte Halbmaroquinausgabe des 20.Jahrhunderts mit verziertem Rueckenschildchen und neuen Vorsatzblättern die an das Papier des 19.Jahrhunderts angepasst wurden. Von grosser Seltenheit ! Die Erfindung des Stethoskop’s hier das erste Mal in deutscher Ausgabe mit allen Falttafeln. Aussergewöhnlich gut erhaltene Ausgabe. Auch die reizvollen Falttafeln erstklassig erhalten. Der sehr saubere Buchblock nur mit einigen Stockfleckchen zu Beginn des Bandes. Das rot getönte Maroquin wunderbar im Einklang mit dem original geröteten Schnitt. William Stokes begründete seine berühmte Abhandlung “An Introduction to the Use of the Stethoscope; With its Application to the Diagnosis in Diseases of the Thoracic Vicera; Including the Pathology of These Various Affections” auf die Arbeit von Laennec.
