Hardcover / Volume I in a modern half-buckram with private spine-label / Volume II in its original half-leather binding. Good condition with signs of external wear. One Volume with crack to gutter between front pastedown and gutter. Loose leaf near front. Binding still firm and strong but tender near very front. Interior bright and unmarked with occasional foxing.

With a manuscript – entry to the rear endpaper: “Dan [meaning Daniel Conner] began Astronomy April 19th 1812”.
