Very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. Corners and spine only very lightly rubbed. Some stains to front board. Title slightly faded on spine. Minor foxing to edges, half-title and endpapers. Pages are lightly tanned. Previous owner’s name in black ink on front endpaper. Also black ink inscription to front pastedown.

Jummy’s life story, a black and white Springer Spaniel given to Major-General Brooke in India when he was a soldier. He trained Jummy as a gun-dog, spent many happy days with him in India, brought him back to this country, and enjoyed his happy companionship until an army truck’s wheels nearly crushed a devoted dog-lover’s heart.
