“Patricia Godsiff was born in Auckland and educated at Nelson College for Girls, St.Faith’s House of Sacred Learning and at the University of Canterbury and of Victoria (Wellington).
At Canterbury she studied under Karl Popper and James Shelley and was a friend of Ursula Bethell. She broadcast, memorably, on these three influences, in 1960. Many of her poems have been published in the N.Z. Listener. Mrs. Godsiff’s poems are an involutary side-product of her study of aesthetic theory, in which her daring and original approach has attracted the attention of universities in Europe and America……” (From the rear flap of the booklet).
