Hardcover / Original publisher’s blindstamped cloth. Very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. With some fraying to two pages. Unbelievably rare edition with the excellent handcoloured plates in fresh colours and overall excellent condition.

With a special sketch on page 9 of the chapter that deals with Salmon. The sketch highlights the best fishery at Lough Ina, mentioning: “The Salmon are so numerous here, that i feel convinced that if the Fishery were preserved, it would afford the very best salmon-fishing in Europe” / The detailed accounts of fishing in Connemara are wonderful in this rather unknown and scarce publication: “In Ballynahinch Lake there is room for five boats, three good salmon stands from the shore and numerous stands for white trout from the shore” /
