The wonderful manuscript-dedication of the Tutor to his pupil reads:
″Ornatissimi Juveni Jacobo van den Hil [Jacobus van den Hil] in Sui memoriam amicitiaeque tutimonium amica mann dedit – Hr. Jean Wyngaarden aetatus LXXV – Hr. Jean Wyngaarden aetatus LXXV.″
[Translates: “To the most ornate young Jacob van den Hil [Jacobus van den Hil], in memory of his friendship and protection, a friend gave him a gift – Mr. Jean Wyngaarden, aged 75”.
