New York, Printed at the Spiral Press for Pantheon Books, 1955. Folio (24 cm wide x 32.5 cm high). Original Hardcover / Half red morocco, beige buckram boards with gilt lettering on spine and gilt stamped illustration to front board. A very fine copy in the original board slipcase with very minor signs of shelfwear to the slipcase only. Spine very sightly sunned. A fantastic book with quotes from Yeats and Kafka and many other writers, illustrated by Calder!

Designed and printed at The Spiral Press, New York, by Joseph Blumenthal. This is No.50 of fifty specially bound copies on Rives Mould Made Paper. Signed by both, Alexander Calder and Richard Wilbur. These 50 copies were each designed to be accompanied by an original, signed darawing by the artist but it appears that only about 30 of these were completed. This copy has NO original darwing, like all the other similar copies we ever encountered on the international rare-book-market.
