″ My beautiful disaster ″ by Edith Bruck, a slice of life in the form of novel that collects traces and episodes of female – existence difficult but far from unusual . The character who speaks in the first person , Nina , describes your reality as it is , raw, unvarnished , only able to smile about for a kind of self-irony . Why this happens, that while he is talking about complicated situations , tiring expectations , disappointments , a thin veil of indifference almost comical , almost a ″ distance ″ from that which is telling makes reading his words . The story of this woman are not different from those of many other : males monomaniacal are often deceived or disappointed, but take their revenge in their own way , sometimes heavily, taking advantage of the fact that it faces a lonely woman . She is married , Nina , but does not live with her husband , jointly decided (she is still in love with it ) to live apart while continuing to look at dating and free. The situation described dall’ossimoro title relates the story obviously touches bed but also, and perhaps more, all the tricks of life, all the petty stories in which the female character is entangled : its very existence . Only the strength of irony can save , only the lightness of the words gives wings to the speech and seasoned with a little smile the dialogues , soft and lifelike in their simplicity, enhance the progress of the events .
