Heather Brett was born in Canada, and was raised in Co Antrim. Heather Brett was named as Bluechrome Poet of the Year 2005. She was awarded the 1992 Brendan Behan Memorial Prize for Abigail Brown, and in the same year she was awarded an Arts Council Bursary. he is founder and co-editor with Noel Monahan of Windows Publications since 1992 and is dedicated to the promotion of new voices, especially young writers.
