Kate Noakes divides her time between Paris and Caversham, Berks. She has degrees in Geography, and English Literature and a MPhil in Creative Writing. She has taught creative writing for Oxford University. Her current poetic practice is focused on contemporary culture and environmental issues. She has been widely published in magazines in the UK and Ireland and in Europe and has performed at festivals as diverse as Glastonbury and Henley Literature festival. (Literature Wales).
