Rose is an Innkeeper’s daughter from the Yorkshire Dales who becomes a doctor. Set in the 1920’s she has to overcome prejudice from both her colleagues and patients. As if she hadn’t enough to deal with already, there is also, of course, an attractive unavailable love interest.
