Front endpapers starting (see the images i took of front and rear endpapers !).

Binding shaky with interior bookblock slightly broken (no effect on the outer spine) ! Pages slightly loosened. Otherwise in very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. Interior excellent ! The loosely inserted advertising leaflet with a clean tear that separates one part of the leaflet.

Good+ condition. Binding a little shaky but holding with endpapers intact. Minor wear and rubbing to cover. Moderate foxing to edges. Minor foxing to pages throughout. Many previous owners names in ink to half-title and title pages. A few colour markings throughout. Pages separating from book block in places.

Excellent condition of the Volume itself with only minor signs of external wear. Unusual in this condition. Tiny blemish to the illustration of rear endpaper. “The Town Mouse” present in the listing of Potter publications on the endpaper, which dates this edition at 1918. The jacket with some minor wear only.

Hardcover / original, illustrated publisher’s cloth with gilt lettering and ornament on spiena and board. Excellent, firm condition with only minor signs of external wear. The binding a little faded. Interior excellent with only two or three signs of foxing. All the colour-plates in place and in excellent condition.

Name of the previous owner on half-title page. Dutch edition. First page of bookplate is coloured by pre-owner in colour pencil. The book includes wonderful, rare illustrations by dutch women illustrator Freddie Langeler.
