Rieff’s ideas and writing reached the peak of popularity in the 1960s, when he was known as cultural philosopher and an interpreter of the works of Sigmund Freud. He contributed to the idea of cultural modernization and secularization via his theory about a “Psychological Man.” With some markings in pencil by Kurt Wolff in the text and on the rear endpaper. Very good condition.
