Very good condition with only minor signs of wear. Last four pages with minor evidence of a faded dampstain (only peripheral). Extremely rare publication. A second Volume was published one year later, in 1787, but the first Volume is complete in itself. Contemporary drawing and name (″Brodrick”) on rear pastedown.

Beautiful, recent Hardcover / Modern half-leather with gilt lettering on spine and marbled, paper-covered boards. New endpapers. Bookblock and interior in very good and firm condition. Faded dampstain to some of the text only. Very rare and important renaissance-publication.
