″This dissertation is divided up into three sections. To start with we analyse the theory of colour. I consider the significance of colour in our everyday lives, how colour comes about and how it varies relative to circumstances.

Next I look at peoples reactions to colour and how most people are thought to respond to the various colours. It becomes evident that particular colours are more suited in certain situations than others.

Lastly, the school environment is closely observed. Various colours are looked at to see their effects on pupils performance within the classroom. Experiments by various psychologists seem to suggest that colour does have definite measurable effects on pupil performance.” (From dissertation abstract)
