Several of these chapters and some illustrations are later also found in Luke’s publication “An Eastern Chequerboard” (London, Lovat Dickson, 1934. While Luke had dedicated “Anatolica” in a printed dedication “To Admiral Sir John de Robeck in Recollection of Service on his Staff 1919-1920”, “An Eastern Chequerboard was dedicated “To My Mother and the Memory of My Father”.
