10. Manuscript – Letter by Baron Alexis Wrangel, sent to Sir Harry Luke from Beyrouth on the 8th of May, 1956.
Alexis Wrangel tells Luke how interesting it was to read his book and he continues: “Needless to say I appreciated particularly the pages about my father [that was the “Black Baron”, Baron Pyotr Nikolayevich Wrangel (1878 – 1928)].
Alexis Wrangel writes also: “We hope very much to see you again in Beyrouth in the very near future, Yours very truly – Alexis Wrangel”.

14. IMPORTANT: TLS [Typed Letter Signed] by Weston Henry Stewart, Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem from 1943 – 1957.
Stewart writes to Luke regarding several passages in his book “Cities and Men” and particularly helps him identifying the current Bishop on a photograph.
More importantly, Bishop Weston Stewart reminisces ind etail about a Service he held on December 9th, 1929 and a St.Andrew’s night-Dinner on November 1929: “and if I remember right, you left Jerusalem the next morning. Your recollection of that time will bear out my feeling that neither Arab, Jew nor Englishman was in a mood to give thanks very sincerely for the British Mandate and all that it entailed. Actually I doubt whether either Arab or Jew would have attended if asked – almost certainly not both.”

Anwar Bey Nuseibeh writes to Luke and thanks him for a letter and books [on Stationery of the “Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, London”].
