Gerry Boland lived in Dublin for most of his life until he decided ten years ago to retreat to the peace and quiet of the north Roscommon countryside. He writes poetry and short fiction and publishes in Irish and international journals. He has had two travel books on Dublin published, the most recent of which was Strollers Guide to Dublin (Gill & MacMillan, 1999). He is a regular visitor to Annaghmakerrig. (Munster Literature Centre).
