With an introduction and notes by Andrew Carpenter. Dunton was a London bookseller and publisher who, in 1699, published an account of his adventures in the book trade in Dublin during the previous year. Apart from insights into the Irish publishing world at that time, Dunton also remarks on Irish life generally. (Publisher’s info)
