Contains among others the following chapters: The First Chapter, in which we discover Seldwyla, which is a town in Switzerland; Fugli, a virtuous spinster, and Spiegel himself, who was the spinster’s cat; The Second Chapter, in which we learn about Spiegel’s fate after the death of the spinster; about Florian, Seldwyla’s Municipal Sorcerer, and about the contract between Spiegel and Florian which promised to lead to Spiegel’s early extinction etc.
