Original hand-engraved. Antwerp, Balthasar Moretus, [1624]. Plate Size: 48.8 cm x 33.5 cm. Sheet Size: 58.1 cm x 44.5 cm. Original map. Very good condition. Slight browning evident along sheet edges. Hint of browning along centre fold also. Very minor tears to top edge and top right corner. Map orientated to the north. Latin text on reverse.

Original hand-coloured engraving. Paris, Chez P. Mariette, 1655. Plate Size: 52.5 cm x 34.1 cm. Sheet Size: 58 cm x 44.5 cm. Original map. In good condition. Signs of browning and staining to map margins. Minor tear to margins along centre fold.

Slight staining barely evident near centre of map. Two minor stains to lower margin of map. Very minor tear to top edge and recto fore edge. Trace of foxing to verso edge.

With Vignettes and a beautiful, large illustration of the entrace to Port Natal and Port Natal and the town of Durban.

Tiny paper defect and minor tear to outer margins. Repaired minor tear to centre fold at lower edge of sheet. Some minor spotting to margins only. Hint of browning along centre fold. The map was orientated with Morocco’s north to the right.
