Including three fold-out maps (Central and South Africa / Africa before Livingstone’s Journeys / Africa by discovery or report after Livingstone’s last researches were published 1874). Hardcover [publisher’s original navy cloth] with lettering and design on spine and front board. Frontispiece and one illustration cleanly detached but loosely inserted. Otherwise in very good- condition with only minor signs of external wear. Occasional spotting to edges and foxing throughout. [ “Pioneer” Library ]

Previous owner has cut out the lower part of the frontispiece (image not effected) and also cut out the printer and publishing information on the titlepage. From the library of Daniel Conner (Connerville / Manch House), with the name of a relative (H.L.Conner) to endpaper.
