Hardcover / Modern, stunning half-leather bound to 18th-century style with gilt lettering and ornament on spine. Both Volumes now in protective Mylar. Excellent condition with only a few signs of foxing. The paper in fantastic condition, illustrations and portraits impressive; wide margins make this a great collectable. A rare opportunity to acquire this important publication in a firm and beautiful binding. The exceptional restoration was done by an english master-bindery.

Rare in this original binding. Very good and especially firm condition of all Volumes.

Hardcover / Original publisher’s cloth with spinelabel and label on frontcover. Some staining to the binding but otherwise firm and with the original endpapers intact. Interior in very good condition besides some pages and illustrations being a little dusty. Few illustrations with faded dampstain. Rare and early publication for the tourist in 19th century Ireland. With name of prewoner in ink on titlepage: “Robert Morrison, Shanakiel, Cork”.

Good+ condition with only minor signs of wear but with some minor staining inside and two defects to the frontispiece of Volume III and a tear to the rear endpaper of Volume III. From the library of Richard Meade (Ballymartle), with manuscript entries of names in the books by the Meade family.

A very rare Cork publication with some extremely scarce, often anonymously published essays on local history, poetry etc. The publications signed with J.J.C. are by Corkonian Jeremiah Joseph Callanan. Name of 19th century preowner on endpaper: “Michael Higgins”.

Hardcover / Modern half-leather with gilt lettering on spine and paper-covered boards. In bespoke made clamshell-box / solander-box. Beautifully restored and bound by a master bookbinder. Including the original endpapers and the original half-title. Front free endpaper and halftitle with dampstain to lower corner only. Dampstain in lower corner of the titlepage only faintly present. One of the rarest titles of Irish Literature and one of the rarest, early gothic-novels / horror-novels. Absolutely scarce and in excellent condition after the beautiful restoration.
