Very good condition with only minor signs of external wear (some rubbing). VI, 148 pages, illustrated throughout (for example with a Full-page-Portrait of Colonel Ralph H. Van Deman), and loosely inserted a stapled “Selective, Annotated Bibliography on The History of Military Intelligence”, which was published by the School in February 1976, possibly added by the preowner of this publication during his tenure at the School. Stapled Softcover. Very good condition with only minor signs of wear. Extremely Scarce publication, published for use in the School only. Marked “SSO” by preowner. No copy offered on the international market at the time of cataloging this item.

Original Publisher’s decorative half leather with gilt lettering and ornament on spines. Bindings firm but in poor condition. Interior absolutely excellent with some minor staining to endpapers only. Inscription in both Volumes state that these Volumes belonge to George Crichton, S.S.Germanic, 1879, where they obviously were given to him as a gift “From John Walsh, Philadelphia, American Minister at St.James’s – London”. Stunning publication with 49 very valuable Steel-Engravings in beautiful condition.

Browning evident as is a tear near lower centre fold. Some inked underlining to place names. Minor inked numeration in margin at top right corner. Slight crease on verso sheet. Discreet duplicate stamp from library in Poland on reverse.
