Original copper engraving from Pufendorf’s “De rebus a Carolo Gustavo”, this being Plate No.80 with an inset map of the border-region between Sweden and Norway at the end of the 17th century. Nuremberg, Christoph Riegel, 1696. Beautifully Framed. Size of frame with the copper engraving: 54.5 cm x 45.5 cm. Size of the actual engraving: c. 44 cm x 35.5 cm. Excellent condition.

Original hand-coloured engraving. Amsterdam, Blaeu, [c.1650]. Plate Size: 49.5 cm x 38 cm. Sheet Size: 61.4 cm x 51.5 cm. Original, well-margined map. Very good, actually stunning condition. Tiny paper defect and minor tear to outer margins. Repaired minor tear to centre fold at lower edge of sheet. Some minor spotting to margins only. Hint of browning along centre fold. The map was orientated with Morocco’s north to the right.

8. Morocco – Ortelius, Abraham. (1527 – 1598).

Original hand-coloured engraving. Amsterdam, Blaeu, [c.1650]. Plate Size: 49.5 cm x 38 cm. Sheet Size: 60 cm x 51 cm. Original map. Very good condition. Minor tear to centre fold at lower edge of sheet. Some minor spotting to margins. Minor stain to fore edge of recto leaf. Central vertical fold as issued. The map was orientated with Morocco’s north to the right. Latin text on reverse.

Original hand-coloured engraving. Paris, Sanson d’Abbeville, [c. 1658]. Plate Size: 26.3 cm x 20.3 cm. Sheet Size: 32.5 cm x 25 cm. Original map. In very good condition. With only the faintest signs of foxing. Map orientated to the north.

Some very minor ink staining evident near ‘Oceanus Orientasis’ text. Otherwise, a very clean and bright map.
